8:1 - but {δὲ<de>} Jesus {Ἰησοῦς<Iēsous>} went {ἐπορεύθη<poreuomai>} to {εἰς <eis>} the {τὸ<ho>} Mount {ὄρος<oros>} of → Olives. {τῶν ἐλαιῶν.<ho elaia>}

8:2 - Early → in → the → morning {ὄρθρου<orthros>} • {δὲ<de>} he → came {παρεγένετο<paraginomai>} again {πάλιν<palin>} to {εἰς<eis>} the {τὸ<ho>} temple. {ἱερὸν<hieron>} • {καὶ<kai>} All {πᾶς<pas>} the {ὁ <ho>} people {λαὸς<laos>} came {ἤρχετο <erchomai>} to {πρὸς<pros>} him, {αὐτόν,<autos>} and {καὶ<kai>} he → sat {καθίσας<kathizō>} down ← and • taught {ἐδίδασκεν<didaskō>} them. {αὐτούς.<autos>}

8:4 - they → said {λέγουσιν<legō>} to → him, {αὐτῷ·<autos>} “Teacher, {διδάσκαλε, <didaskalos>} this {αὕτη<houtos>} woman {ἡ γυνὴ<ho gynē>} has → been → caught {κατείληπται<katalambanō>} in the act {ἐπ᾽ αὐτοφώρῳ <epi autophōros>} of • adultery. {μοιχευομένη·<moicheuō>}

8:5 - Now {δὲ<de>} in {ἐν<en>} the {τῷ<ho>} Law, {νόμῳ<nomos>} Moses {Μωϋσῆς <Mōusēs>} commanded {ἐνετείλατο<entellomai>} us {ἡμῖν<egō>} to → stone {λιθάζειν. <lithazō>} such {τὰς τοιαύτας<ho toioutos>} women. ← So {οὖν <oun>} what {τί <tis>} do → you {σὺ<sy>} say?” {λέγεις;<legō>}

8:6 - This {τοῦτο<houtos>} • {δὲ<de>} they → said {ἔλεγον<legō>} to → test {πειράζοντες<peirazō>} him, {αὐτόν,<autos>} that {ἵνα<hina>} they → might → have {ἔχωσιν<echōsome>} charge to bring against {κατηγορεῖν<katēgoreō>} him. {αὐτοῦ.<autos>} • {δὲ <de>} Jesus {ὁ Ἰησοῦς<ho Iēsous>} bent {κύψας<kyptō>} down {κάτω<katō> and • wrote {κατέγραφεν<katagraphō>} with → his • finger {τῷ δακτύλῳ<ho daktylos>} on {εἰς <eis>} the {τὴν<ho>} ground. {γῆν.<gē>}

8:7 - And {δὲ<de>} as {ὡς<hōs>} they → continued {ἐπέμενον<epimenō>} to → ask {ἐρωτῶντες<erōtaō>} him, {αὐτόν,<autos>} he stood up {ἀνέκυψεν<anakyptō>} and {καὶ<kai>} said {εἶπεν<legō>} to → them, {αὐτοῖς·<autos>} “Let → him who {ὁ <ho>} is • without sin {ἀναμάρτητος<anamartētos>} among → you {ὑμῶν<sy>} be • the → first {πρῶτος<prōtos>} to • throw {βαλέτω<ballō>} a → stone {λίθον.<lithos>} at {ἐπ᾽<epi>} her.” {αὐτὴν<autos>}

8:8 - And {καὶ <kai>} once more {πάλιν<palin>} he bent down {κατακύψας <katakyptō>} and • wrote {ἔγραφεν<graphō>} on {εἰς<eis>} the {τὴν<ho>} ground. {γῆν.<gē>}

8:9 - But <δὲ <de>} when → they {οἱ<ho>} heard {ἀκούσαντες<akouō>} it, • they went away {ἐξήρχοντο<exerchomai>} one {εἷς<heis>} by {καθ᾽<kata>} one, {εἷς <heis>} beginning {ἀρξάμενοι<archō>} with {ἀπὸ<apo>} the {τῶν<ho>} older {πρεσβυτέρων<presbyteros>} ones, ← and {καὶ<kai>} Jesus {ὁ Ἰησοῦς<ho Iēsous>} was → left {κατελείφθη<kataleipō>} alone {μόνος<monos>} with {καὶ<kai>} the {ἡ <ho>} woman {γυνὴ<gynē>} standing before him. {ἐν μέσῳ οὖσα.<en mesos eimi>}

8:10 - • {δὲ<de> Jesus {ὁ Ἰησοῦς<ho Iēsous>} stood up {ἀνακύψας<anakyptō>} and • said {εἶπεν<legō>} to → her, {αὐτῇ·<autos>} “Woman, {γύναι,<gynē>} where {ποῦ <pou> are {εἰσιν;<eimi>} they? ← Has → no one {οὐδείς<oudeis>} condemned {κατέκρινεν; <katakrinō>} you?” {σε<sy>}

8:11 - She {ἡ<ho>} • {δὲ<de>} said, {εἶπεν·<legō>} “No one, {οὐδείς,<oudeis>} Lord.” {κύριε.<kyrios>} And {δὲ<de>} Jesus {ὁ Ἰησοῦς·<ho Iēsous>} said, {εἶπεν <legō>} “Neither {οὐδὲ<oude>} do → I {ἐγώ<egō>} condemn {κατακρίνω· <katakrinō>} you; {σε <sy>} go, {πορεύου,<poreuomai>} and {καὶ<kai>} from → now {τοῦ νῦν<ho nyn>} on {ἀπὸ <apo> sin {ἁμάρτανε.<hamartanō> no more.”]] {μηκέτι<mēketi>}
